Phuket Adventure Mini Golf Bangtao Beach

by Mama Loves Phuket

A fun family outing when you’re looking for something to do away from the beach, Phuket Adventure Mini Golf is the perfect little oasis. Situated in the small village that lies to the southern end of Bangtao Beach, here’s what you can expect from this hideaway destination.

Mini Golf and Games

The 18-hole golf course is, of course, the star of the show. It’s small but slightly more challenging than it first looks. Little ones should be able to easily join in with junior-sized putters; equally, older kids and adults won’t find it too easy.

A few small water features are dotted about, along with artificial sand bunkers and granite rocks to make things interesting.

You can keep score or play for fun; there’s no par given for each hole, and no set course rules other than the flags must be left in, so there’s no pressure at all on the scoring; feel free to make up your own family rules, too!

At the time of our visit, during the late afternoon, midweek in the high season, it was relatively quiet. We’d recommend it’s best to arrive as the sun is setting for slightly cooler temperatures. If you do come in the daytime, wear a hat and sunscreen as you are exposed while on the course but can take cover in the shaded kiosk and restaurant.

Additional games such as pool and darts can also be found in the restaurant, “Off Course” so allow some extra time after your golf game for these fun activities, first-come, first-served.

Dining at Off Course

A range of Thai and Western dishes are available, plus a separate kids’ menu with all dishes priced at 90 BHT. Look out for their special pizza menu “probably the best pizza in Phuket..You decide!

How to Get to Phuket Adventure Mini Golf

The official address is 72/44 Moo 3, Bangtao Beach (Close to Catch Beach Club).

It’s easy to Google the location and catch a Grab there. Equally, you could walk along Bang Tao beach and cut in at the footpath near Best Western Premier Bangtao; from there, it’s less than a 5-minute walk.

Only around 200m away is a tuk-tuk waiting area to get home or you could again call a Grab.

If you want to catch the bus, it’s a little distance off the main road; expect a 15-minute walk from the nearest SmartBus station, near the 7-Eleven at the southern end of Bangtao, before the road bends for Surin.

The Mama Loves Verdict

This is a great family activity that we can highly recommend. It may not be uniquely Thailand, but we love it as a fun half-day activity away from the beach in a chilled-out environment where everyone is welcome into the evening.
